GULF COAST BANJO SOCIETY

In the peaceful Old Florida atmosphere underneath the tall oak trees at Snook Haven, listeners delight in the sounds of the four-string jazz banjo, accompanied by accordions, bass, drums, guitar, saxophone and vocals from up to 16 singers. The Gulf Coast Banjo Society (GCBS) has been making sweet music on the Suncoast since 1988, something that has struck a note with many in the region.

Our Business Network Evening Mingle, held on November 12 at Left Coast Seafood Co. & Oyster Bar in Venice, was another great success! As guests at the event networked with area business owners, they enjoyed tasty appetizers including shrimp and jalapeño hush puppies, mini crab cakes, ahi tuna, shrimp cocktail, chicken and beef skewers, stone crab claws, and shrimp burger bites. Everyone enjoyed an evening of stimulating conversation and delectable food provided by the gracious staff at Left Coast Seafood Co.

Our Business Network Evening Mingle, held on August 21 at Leone’s Ristorante & Pizzeria in Venice, was tremendously successful! As guests at the event networked with area business owners, they sampled tasty appetizers including bruschetta and mini open-faced roast beef sandwiches, topped with horseradish and capers. A delicious variety of pizzas, such as white, veggie and cheese, were also served. Everyone enjoyed an evening of stimulating conversation and delectable food
provided by the gracious staff at Leone’s Ristorante & Pizzeria.

Evening Business Network Event

Our second Business Network Evening Mingle, held on June 11 at Bonefish Grill in Venice, was another tremendous success! As part of this event, guests networked with area business owners and enjoyed a variety of delectable appetizers including the signature Bang Bang Shrimp, Mussels Josephine, Chicken Marsala, and other popular starters and entrees from the restaurant’s extensive menu. The evening seamlessly came together, filled with wonderful conversation, delicious food and the excellent service provided by the staff at Bonefish Grill.
