Originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, artist Coleen Henry has been residing in south Florida for over 30 years and is constantly inspired by its tropical beauty. “I often find myself intensely focused on the intricacies of nature along with its kaleidoscope of colors and creatures,” she says.
Basically self-taught, Coleen, with gratitude to her mentors and teachers, is currently known for her commercial and residential murals. Her Venice historical mural can be seen along the Venetian Waterway, and others at the Jacaranda Public Library.
Also, Coleen’s three-story environmental mural brightens Englewood’s Water Management facility. Her award-winning fine art is displayed at Collectors Gallery & Framery in Venice and at various regional art festivals. Coleen is also an integral member of many area art associations.
